E Park in the Community

As a business we support our local community through a variety of activities. Many of these
are targeted at educating the next generation on the importance of potatoes and vegetables in the diet.

Educational Projects

Here are a selection of these community projects:

The Lincolnshire School Challenge
Schools are asked to choose a challenge which supports the
national curriculum and also works towards the sustainable
schools award.
Once completed each school have a stand at the Lincolnshire
show and present to a panel of judges to compete for the title
of School Challenge Champion.

Together with our growers we visit a selection of primary schools to get children involved in learning about where their food comes from.
This involves interactive talks with the children about farming, growing potatoes and why they are good to eat!

We will be supplying the variety “Casablanca” for the North East Area of the UK Potato Council Grow your
own project.

This is a project that teaches primary aged children about
potatoes.With almost 1 million primary school children
benefitting from this classroom experience linked to the UK
curricula, children learn how potatoes grow and how they fit
in to a healthy balanced diet.

Epworth United under 14’s Football Club

“Epworth United football team was established in 2007,
when 3 dads got together to give their son’s a game.

Now, 5 years on, we play in the Scunthorpe Jack Kalson U14 league, with our pitch kindly provided by Epworth Showground. Our kit sponsor has always been E Park & Sons, for which we are extremely grateful.

We presently sit 3^rd in the league and are in the quater finals of the U14 McDonalds Cup.

We have 16 players now, and the cold weather has caused a few games to be cancelled due to a frozen pitch.
